Re: Issue with face dialing
I thought I saw a flag to enable/disable this... so that the screen blanks when you hold it up, ie: to your ear; and resumes the screen when you hold it palmed. (face up).
I'm not finding it now, but perhaps someone else remembers... or you might.. *cringe* try calling tech suppt...

Re: Issue with face dialing
Thanks to all who replied. I will consider PocketShield if all else fails but I'd like to think that there would be something built in to the phone to prevent this.
Does anyone know if there is something in the settings to disable this? Or should I just go get PocketShield? |

Re: Issue with face dialing
I have the stock screen protector on and the proximity sensor works for me. To test, make a call and place your hand against the top left of the face of the phone (above the screen between "HTC" and the speaker) and my screen turns off. BTW, the proximity sensor is only active while actively in a call.
On my TP1 I got in the habit of pressing the power button to turn off the screen when in a call, and if I needed to turn the screen back on, just press it again. |

Re: Issue with face dialing
You guys have obviously disabled your proximity sensor somehow with hacks or programs you've installed if it's not shutting off automatically. So the question is... what have you installed and what have you tweaked?
