Re: How many are having in-call issue's?
I have not had any issues with mine, even in my basement. My wife has not experienced any issues with hers, either.

Re: How many are having in-call issue's?
Only 1 week in, but stellar call quality, no drops at all. I hope this issue
doesn't crop up later. |

Re: How many are having in-call issue's?
No issues on mine. I find that my reception is quite a bit better than my TP1 and the calls are much clearer.

Re: How many are having in-call issue's?
I'm beginning to think this is a microphone and not a network issue. When I'm talking on speakerphone (which uses a second microphone, correct?) there are no issue's, but when using the earpiece people on the other end either hear nothing or static. Before you ask, no my finger is not over the microphone, lol.
I'd have a fourth one sent out to me but Verizon is all out, with no ETA of when they'll have more. I am on their callback list for when more come in, but I'm not really expecting them to call when they do arrive in stock. This bugs me because not only am I unable to talk with the phone, but according to the girl in technical support, since they can't see on their end the issue's during the call like they can with a call drop (which supposedly they can see on their system), they won't give me a credit. Time to complain and get nasty. This is my third TP2 in two weeks and all have been fatally flawed. |

Why don't you just take it in and get it looked at? Does VZW not allow that. Can't they just look at the mic or anything else. Cuz 3 TP2 already in 2 weeks and these are BRAND NEW something is wrong here. Either you got horrible, horrible luck or just really not happy with the TP2.

I assure you I'm not one of those picky, fussy people who returns phones for little things. The first TP2 had a loud crackle on the earpiece, and if I remember correctly (all these issue's are blending together) it dropped calls frequently. It also had horrible battery life, the two I have had since are much better. The second had 10-15 stuck pixels all over the screen, it was so obvious that I never bothered making a test call, I just packed it up and had another one sent. This one is having microphone/network issue's on every other call, the other party hears either silence or static. These aren't subjective facts, they would be clearly obvious to anyone else. So I must have really had bad luck this time around, because now I'll have to wait god knows how long to get a replacement. The guy in the thread below is having a similar issue, although for me when the sound cuts off for the other party it will last indefinately, and calling back does not fix the issue. http://forums.t-mobile.com/tmbl/boar...thread.id=1861 I've also noticed that the sound will sometimes cut off on my end when I call someone, i.e. I cannot hear anything, and that when my phone rings from an incoming call the earpiece will play the ringtone instead of the speakers. Strange issue's indeed. Any chance that a hard reset may fix this? I guess to answer that question you'd have to know what's causing this problem. EDIT: I take back what I said. They do have technicians in stores, albeit only certain stores. I called and pushed on the matter, the nearest one is about half an hour from my campus, so I'll go friday after class and see what they can do. Who knows, at this point it's my best shot ![]() Last edited by Gulanowski; 09-29-2009 at 07:31 PM. |
