Re: "Where did I park?" type application?

I usually just remember where I parked in the first place. Don't need an app for that! Haha

If there's an easier way to do this, please do suggest.
Thanks!

Re: "Where did I park?" type application?

What do you guys mean Bing doesn't do it? I use Bing to do this exact thing.

1. From main screen, click "Change Location"
2. Select "Current GPS"
3. Save location as "Parking" or something similar.
4. When you leave the event or whatever, just select "Get Directions" and choose your current GPS position as starting location and "Parking" as ending location.

Download GParkS free for Your Windows Mobile Phone
It didn't work for me. When I tried to run it it crashed asking me if I wanted to send an error report to Microsoft.

Sorry, you must have .net framework installed first.

You're right ! Any knows solution for this issue, rather than soft reset each time you use tomtom ?

Re: "Where did I park?" type application?

this app is almost exactly what I have been looking for. VERY fast fix. I tap save then tap find.

what would it take to clean it up a bit? I don't mind paying a little money (I could afford say $40 on pretty short notice)

larger finger friendly buttons (I could design the gui as a bunch of jpg's if that helps.

direction indicator is largely useless. how many people know their cardinal directions especially at night.

what we need is a CIRCLE where straight up the screen is where your GOING and an arrow in the circle to indicate the direction you need to go (ie compass) most of these devices do not have a compass but the moment you start walking its trivial to figure that out in software. the idea being line the two arrows up and your heading toward your car.

what would it take to get these changes? would make this a truly great little app!

Here is what I envision.

main screen 6 nice large buttons. "mark" and "find"

if you hit mark and it is already "marked" it will ask you to confirm you want to overwrite otherwise it would just mark.

at the bottom a nice large close button (that actually closes the app)

if you tap FIND the whole screen should become a nice pretty compass and when you start walking the cardinals and arrow will appear you line up the moving compass with the top static arrow and your heading toward your mark and it shows you your distance (in feet)

I could make the graphics if that helps.
