Re: which touch pro 2 is the best

Can you get ATT's 3G service with your Verizon TP2?

It is rare but on occasion there are areas of travel that one network or the other works and the other one doesn't -- thus my vote for the CDMA version (and VZW seems rather open with their unlock codes!)
This along with the 3.5 mm headset jack has made me decide to port my ATT # over to VZW

Verizon = best
Many users on here complaining of low audio output on Sprint, yet to see one for Verizon, this is a problem I've seen with several sprint versions of phones compared to Verizon. The Verizon version is borderline too loud.
The Verizon version is much better looking. A black keyboard is a smarter design choice as it will stay looking nicer longer. The sprint battery cover is just plain ugly. Do a side by side in person if possible.
Any version without a 3.5 mm jack to me isn't worth comparing.

These are the posts that people just need to ignore because he obviously is bias towards his company. There is no thread about the sprint version with low audio output, they are exactly the same, so if you're trying to say the verizon one is lowder then youre trippin. It only leads me to wonder if you've actually seen a sprint tp2 in person before posting. The verizon one is not better looking unless you consider the back to be better, and from what i've noticed on both because i have a sprint tp2 and my brother has a verizon tp2, so i see them all the time and compare, i actually think my sprint my one is louder because of the back and when people see my back cover they all love it. in pics the back cover gets no love but in person i can definitely see why sprint with it. Why do you think the verizon one looks better because is black? i'm definitely feeling my sprint gray and black version a lil better especially with the all silver buttons to match, and especially my back cover. Being as i see them both all the time, the sprint version is by far better because he has no advantages over mine and i pay like $40 less a month, so i'm going to have to go with sprint just because of the savings.

uhh... No threads huh? You think I'd just say that without reason?

Three threads in this forum for the TP2, I found with a 10 second search for "audio", with many replies. The majority of them are Sprint users. There are more threads then this on the subject too
Think twice before you call someone out especially when you're not well versed in a topic!

Another example: Take two brand new / like new Titan's, one for Sprint (The Mogul) and the other for Verizon (xv6800) - call the same number, turn the volume to max, and see which one is clearer / louder. There may not be a hardware difference causing it, but there is at least a network difference. Just because they are both CDMA and can use each others towers does not mean that the implementation OF that network is the same. Around here Sprint users often have very poor to no signal at all in areas where Verizon is full strength. If they were identical hardware and networks and coverage this would not be the case.

Yes, I have a bias, but it's for reasons like this! That doesn't make my opinion any less valid when it's based on fact.

Yea, I can verify that (I am in the same area)

I made the mistake of switching to Sprint once because somebody told me "you get the exact same service as Verizon for 1/2 the price" Yea right.

I had more dropped calls in the first week on Sprint than I have had in 10 years on Verizon (I actually can't remember the last time I had a dropped call on VZ)

I hated Sprint & ending up paying an ETF so I could go back to VZ.

Re: which touch pro 2 is the best

I like the look of the Verizon best. Other than that the differences are minor. And I don't get any echo on my phone (also in Los Angeles area like the guy on PcketNow.com). I haven't tried TomTom but Google Maps locked on really fast (indoors, too). Maybe they weren't using the aGPS?
