Re: which touch pro 2 is the best
IMO the verizon version is the best, 3.5mm jack...and a nice slick understated black color. Not a fake chrome over plastic bezel...not an ugly mocha. Just simple and elegant...one thing i would like though is a replacement battery cover that is just all black and a matte finish

Got some bad news for you Jmorton. According to pocketnow.com sebo is right. They say sprint got a slight edge over verizon. Here's the thread

Re: which touch pro 2 is the best
I agree with what the others posted- go with the one that gives you the best pricing, network and customer service for the area you're going to be in. I think all the carriers now have a 30 day try-out period also.
I will say that Verizon really screwed up with the orginial Touch Pro compared to the Sprint version so your hesitation is completely normal. This one though is pretty much almost stock from the manufacturer out of the box. ***Just realized that I need to change my device from the 6800 to the Touch Pro 2.*** Last edited by BK111968; 09-28-2009 at 08:09 PM. |

Re: which touch pro 2 is the best
The Verizon tp2 is locked to vodafone-verizon's partner in the joint venture of verizon wireless. The Sprint tp2 comes sim unlocked-but has some sort of block for U.S. use...only allows cdma within the U.S. but u can use any sim when u travel abroad without having to unlock it. Verizon's must be unlocked before u can use a sim other than the vodafone sim that the phone comes with.

Re: which touch pro 2 is the best
I would say go with the carrier that you need but for me I just finished an ATT contract for one line and since I got VZW to unlock my TP2 with them (my wife and business has had an acct with them for a long time) I am able to pop my ATT sim card in and thus I have both carriers on the same phone.
It is rare but on occasion there are areas of travel that one network or the other works and the other one doesn't -- thus my vote for the CDMA version (and VZW seems rather open with their unlock codes!) This along with the 3.5 mm headset jack has made me decide to port my ATT # over to VZW |
