I was just told by a verizon retailer, that they pulled all the touch pro 2's from all the warehouses to update software. He said they should be available within a couple days.

That's an interesting twist. I wonder if it has anything to do with the 1x/EV issues we've been discussing in a different thread.

It's saying out of stock today. It didn't this weekend.

I had a couple stuck/white pixels and I exchanged mine at the VZW store on saturday with no issues, they didn't have any in store but they were able to order one for me, should be in tomorrow

What I posted may or may not be true, Its just what I was told by a Verizon employee while searching for one of these phones. Most of the employee's on cust. service and phone sales knew nothing.

As far as being new, I came across this site while gathering info about the touch pro 2 thats all.

I just a had to get a replacement for the pixel issue called yesterday at first they had none then the CS asked me to hold later came back found some available in PA. sceduled for delivery on 9-30-2009 from reading previous posts hopefully this one will have 6.5 preinstalled ? and a little strange the same CS called a few hours later to confirm shipment follwed by an email confirmation

Verizon CS has always been superb

Apparently they are avaialble just not for sale

Don't be surprised if you get what they call a "like-new replacement device." This is what they sent me last week. They only shipped the phone, in bubble wrap, with no accessories or battery. It was in perfect condition, but I was a little surprised when I didn't receive a brand new box.
