Re: Underwhelming
You are right. The lady at dunkin donuts didnt give me a straw with my iced coffee this morning and im taking it out on my TP2. There are alot of things I really like about it.. like the facebook integration with contacts and the deeper roots of TF3D, such as the finger friendly popup menus. Ive only been using this thing for one day and these are my observations.

Re: Underwhelming
Can't please everyone, so why bother?
Anyway, after a week of using it, I can say that I like this phone and think it's one of the best (and few) PDA phones that VzW has carried. It has its quirks (what phone doesn't) but the changes from the TP are impressive. - I think it's way sexier than the TP. Call me a device snob, but I look my electronics to look as good as they work and the TP2 fits the bill. - The keyboard is much improved in terms of spacing and tactile feedback. For VzW owners, standard QWERTY is again the norm. - The screen is just OK to me. I like the size, but don't find it substantially better than the TP. - The wonky directional pad is gone. There is a God. - The screen draw is really downer for GPS apps. So maybe there isn't a God. - More memory is always good. - TouchFlo feels a bit more responsive and the new stock tab is a nice touch. I wish HTC would open that up though so you can change the applications are add new tabs. - Initial setup was intuitive, at least on the VzW version. Basically stepped you through the hardware setup. Could it be better? Sure. Then again, what device is perfect? Is it worth the money? Absolutely. I can't say I have any regrets. |
