What I usually do with a new device, is try out numerous software, and once I am settled with what I am going to use I do a hard reset then reload the software I am going to use. I then do a back up using Sprite Backup. I keep this backup on my storage card for future use. doing this gives you a nice clean start and a solid backup to go to if needed.

I have Copilot 8 on my TP2. For 35 bucks it is pretty solid value. I find ALK's customer service a bit lacking, and activation a bit flaking, but once you are up and running it's not bad.

As for uninstalling applications is is entirely up to the application and the developer as to how well they uninstall. I find that often they leave empty folders, but like i said it depends on the developer.

that is putting it mildly, their CS is the absolute pits.

I own CoPilot & got so sick & fed up with constantly fighting with that retarded activation procedure that I don't even bother installing it anymore. Any time I made the slightest change to my system (never mind flashing a ROM) it would decide to deactivate itself. I wouldn't know this until the next time I tried to use it & it refused to run (I must have activated it 30 times)

I would NEVER EVER advise anybody to buy this app (I use GarminXT now)
