yes i agree. i even think its better then the default 6.5 lock. i tried that and wanted to try to like it so it would be one less app i had to install but i ended up going back to pocketshield as i love it too much

Re: wake from sleep with new sms

i have used this regedit on my sprint tp2 and it works for me...are you waiting to soft reset after applying the change? is the change reverting after soft reset? is cm guardian set to manual? lot of factors with this new build that were overlooked in the original touch pro. what might work on sprint may not work on verizon and vice versa...

Re: wake from sleep with new sms

Has anyone made any progress on this in the past few months??? It doesn't make much sense why it can't be fixed. When I had my Omnia, it came stock with the wakeup turned off and you could download a file to set it either way. It would notify, but the screen would remain off. Why is this any different on the TP2?
I know that one solution is to add a lock but the locks drives me insane about as much as the wake up does. I can't win I guess. It's always interesting to look at your phone and see who it has picked to call in your pocket. Especially when you haven't spoken with that person in a year or 2. LOL

Re: wake from sleep with new sms

well the carrier does not matter i dont think if you are trying a different rom. the reason why the phone wakes up from a sms is because it switches from ev to 1x to get the txt. thats why its waking up. it wakes up when your service changes. anybody try this on the tp2? i have pocketshield installed and it set up to turn off in 10 seconds if the phone wakes up. i dont think i can live without pocketshield now though.
