Re: Configuring wireless breaks data connection?

Reconfiguring applications and services to use a different IP when it's lease expires or an ip changes can be a PITA. Bottom line is the Mogul supported static IP's, my touch pro even did what I needed it to. This Touch Pro2 should as well. I'm using a WRT54G as well. Essentially it's useless as a WiFi device for me. A very major component for me. Last edited by marcus_cruz; 09-22-2009 at 07:48 PM. |

Re: Configuring wireless breaks data connection?
Unfortunately, it's the WM build that HTC is using. This topic, surprisingly, has been increasingly coming up. I've had this issue like a year go on my Diamond and nobody seemed to bother. lol anyway I did stumble across this program WifiProfiles.
What it allows you to do is create profiles for wifi networks with static ip addresses, then you can create a profile for evdo to revert all changes. Sad to say this is the only workaround so far. |

Yes, you need a registry editor. Navigate to the following: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Power\State\Suspend\{98C5250D-C29A-4985-AE5F-AFE5367E5006} HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Power\State\Resuming\{98C5250D-C29A-4985-AE5F-AFE5367E5006} HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Power\State\Unattended\{98C5250D-C29A-4985-AE5F-AFE5367E5006} Change the dword values to 1. Wait a few minutes for the settings to stick, soft reset. |
