Problem with "*" Key in Phone Canvas

When I try to dial into my office voicemail to check it, I am supposed to wait for the message to startthen hit "*" twice.

When I do this it shows the letter p and w instead of the asterisk. I also tried using the hard keyboard to press "*" (FN +

and I got the same result.

Anyone have any ideas on this?
