Your path needs to point to the exe for the program you want to run not the lnk (shortcut). Your argument should be blank unless one is needed. The easiest way to determine if you need a argument is to use total commander, browse to where the shortcut you use to run the program is (probably \Windows\Start Menu\Programs) and see what the properties of the shortcut are. If it uses an argument it will be after the exe in the path. The Contacts shortcut is the perfect example, the path on the shortcut will be "\Windows\poutlook.exe contacts" so "\Windows\poutlook.exe" is you path and "contacts" is your argument. If the path for the shortcut stops after the exe then the argument key should be left blank.

I would say your pocket player would start working just by blanking the HomeRSKArguments. For your Opera Mini you need to look at the shortcut and see where it points to find out what exe to put in HomeLSKPath and if you need anything in HomeLSKArguments.

All my softkey reg entries are empty. Not sure why.

Re: How do you change the bottom 2 buttons on the Today screen?

From my experience on Sprint phone, neither EXE or LNK files work and while changing the info for RSK and LSK, they only change the visible NAME on the bottom bar. They still call the default programs. Setting them back to blank will revert to default naming.

I believe this is all handled in one of the DLL's on Sprint vs depending on the registry. Similarly on Verizon (I've got both phones), the HTCVOLUMECONTROL.DLL is what is overriding the NOSMSSENT notification reg entry and why it doesn't work like on Sprint.

On a verizon phone load Tsowen's v6.3.1 taskbar and you'll see what I mean. Because he includes an older/different version of that DLL you now can use the Sprint reg entry and you also lose combined volume control until you put the default DLL back.

I am well aware of all of this. If you look at the post I was quoting they had said they had gotten it to work using this different method so I gave it a try. As has been stated repeatedly the Sprint version does not seem to have fully working reg entries here. For example the LSKText and RSKPath match up (so you can change this button but not the right one)

Thanks for trying to help though
