Re: How do you change the bottom 2 buttons on the Today screen?

This worked for my Verizon TP2. I did have to enable the Diamond Mode.

On a side note, jmorton, did you use DiamondTweak to put the date in your top curtain? I'm going to check out the top icons next (any links you can provide?).

No tweak, that is one of the "compact home screen" setups you can find on XDA. Here is the cab for the one I use, it is for the bg on all tabs setup (you can DL one that is not for bg on all also)

Re: How do you change the bottom 2 buttons on the Today screen?

have you tried this? ill use contacts as an example
Change the right soft keys on the home screen
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila\
change HomeRSKArguments to contacts
change HomeRSKPath to \Windows\poutlook.exe
change HomeRSKText to Contacts

look for homelsktext, homelskpath, and homelskarguments for the left button

Unfortunately I can't find my clean registry backup. I should have access to an OEM one later and will let you know

Your path needs to point to the exe for the program you want to run not the lnk (shortcut). Your argument should be blank unless one is needed. The easiest way to determine if you need a argument is to use total commander, browse to where the shortcut you use to run the program is (probably \Windows\Start Menu\Programs) and see what the properties of the shortcut are. If it uses an argument it will be after the exe in the path. The Contacts shortcut is the perfect example, the path on the shortcut will be "\Windows\poutlook.exe contacts" so "\Windows\poutlook.exe" is you path and "contacts" is your argument. If the path for the shortcut stops after the exe then the argument key should be left blank.

I would say your pocket player would start working just by blanking the HomeRSKArguments. For your Opera Mini you need to look at the shortcut and see where it points to find out what exe to put in HomeLSKPath and if you need anything in HomeLSKArguments.
