well lot of them just don't know what the hell is going on. it is compatible with sero and there is no question about it. if you call the everything plus referral customer service number, they will upgrade it for you no problem, but the problem is that they won't be able to give you the discount the retention dept can.
what i did was call retention first and when the lady told me its not compatible i told her to transfer me to the sero people and call me back in 30 minutes so she can apply the extra discount after i place the order with the sero customer service.
