In the sounds & notifications settings you can disable reminders.

Re: The reminder alerts are driving me crazy on the TP2!
My preferred method of restoring "classic" notifications is to add a DWORD entry called Flags to the HKLM\Services\NOTIFICATIONMANAGER ... set the value to 4. Soft reset.
I definitely discourage the method documented of using different/non-existant DLL's. Beyond that, 8notime's advice is definitely the easiest.

My goof, I had also somewhere along the line turned off pop-up notifications. It wasn't any of the software I installed, it was "user error".

Re: The reminder alerts are driving me crazy on the TP2!
The thing that drives me crazy is that there's no way to turn off the reminder repeats. The option is completely grayed out in the setting screen. So the reminder dings every 30 seconds or so until you acknowledge it. I've cabbed up the solution to this and attached it. This solution disables the repeat and makes this option available/configurable in the settings screen.
Only tested on the Verizon TP2, but should be compatible with the others as well. The .cab makes the following regedit: HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\{15F11F90-8A5F-454c-89FC-BA9B7AAB0CAD}\Options change value to decimal 1073741837 |
