Graphics driver weirdness.. certain apps causing issues with landscape graphics - Page 2

GoodThings - hey man just FYI I have not forgotten about this. I have not had a chance to connect the phone to my computer to take these registry snapshots.

I also thought it worth posting that I tried the v3 driver pack from Neos2007 over at XDA, but saw no difference in anything, including this behaviour with the landscape performance.

I'll try to get the registry snapshots over the weekend if my 2 yr old allows it

No worries! I don't have kids of my own, but many of my hospital coworkers act like children, so I can relate in a twisted way, lol.

OK! So I'm making progress... got CeRegEditor downloaded and installed today. Will play around with it a bit and then follow the instructions you posted earlier to take 'snapshots' of the registry to get to you.

Great work here guys.

I read through and didn't see Bast ever address the At0mAng D3D driver. Does draw bitmaps benchmark give a higher score with this driver?

I find it difficult to dedicate myself to toying/fixing/hacking this device while it still has 6.1 on it. I just feel that time is wasted because soon 6.5/6.5.1 which will introduce a new set of drivers/problems.

bluruld - I do currently run with the at0mang d3d driver, but have benched with and without it and seen no difference in the bitmap rendering performance or any affect on this issue with landscape peformance.

I am due to receive a new device tommorow... I will hopefully get around to extracting the reg for GoodThings this Saturday.... gonna be raining this weekend so should be home.
