Re: Wifi turns off with screen?
To add to this, I also noticed if you have the OEM Windows Lock on, you can't use Bluetooth. I had to take the lock off. I use mine with my Ford Fusion Sync and it would dial then disconnect until I unlocked it. Not sure if it will accept a call but I could not dial.

Re: Wifi turns off with screen?
Thanks for the full link. The problem is the wifi tweak for standby mode is the same as the link from CovKid66. That tweak did not work. I changed the 3 registry settings like shown and wifi still turns off if I turn off my screen.

You did reset after making the registry changes right?

Re: Wifi turns off with screen?
Hmmm, tried it myself and looks like you're right...doesn't seem to work. On that XDA thread there is mention that Advanced Config has this exact option (post #14). Perhaps try that.
EDIT: OK, scratch that too! Just installed Advanced Config, found the setting and enabled it, but it doesn't work either! Must be a TP2 thing EDIT2: I just did a registry comparison of the Advanced Config setting, with the wifi standyby option on and then off...all it does is to change the same registry keys mentioned in my original post but with different values.... Resuming 1 --> 4 Suspend 1 --> 4 Unattended 0 --> 4 The first values (1 / 1 / 0) are what Advanced Config set when I turned the wifi standby option on. The rightmost values (4 / 4 / 4) are what it set them to when I turned that option back off again! Last edited by CovKid66; 09-18-2009 at 10:22 PM. |

Re: Wifi turns off with screen?
Damn that sucks...there must be a way to keep wifi on while on standby....I could have sworn my TP1 did this.
Edit: I was wrong the TP1 didnt keep wifi on while on standby. Last edited by DarkManX4lf; 09-19-2009 at 07:07 AM. |
