Re: Verizon TP2 hard reset SOLVED

Did any one here just upgrade from the TP to the TP2?
Reason why is I'm thinking of throwing $$ at the TP.
If not I will hold out for the TP2.

Any advice is welcome..

Hold out for the TP2, it is fantastic and I could almost guarantee that you would be much more satisfied with the TP2. Also, with TP1 you have less RAM and would need to flash it with a good rom like SSK to make it usable.

Hopefully this topic will be easily searched in the future as this functions seem to vary phone by phone and are frustrating.
when holding the end key down to "soft reset" does it go thru the loading process when you turn the device back on? i know i can press and hold my end key and it will turn off the phone's radio and put it in airplane mode but it doesnt reset the entire device.

I just did.
Will probably keep my TP1 as a backup because I really did like it.

My favorite things about the TP2 are bigger screen, 3.5" headphone jack and most importantly face proximity sensor. I can't tell you how many times I was writing notes with my cheek while on the phone on my TP1.

On Verizon when I hold down my end key for a few seconds it shuts off my phone completely. Pressing the end key again starts the phone effectively soft resetting.
