Maybe a difference between Sprint and Verizon, but I just verified my claim and I'm correct for the Sprint version. Holding down the end button puts the phone into airplane mode automatically instead of having to drill down into two menus. The device itself is still powered on and you can use all other features other than radio type functions.

This is why I installed the software tool recommended by Mighty Mike.

You're correct, in that it is a difference between the Sprint & Verizon version. To accomplish what I said on the Sprint version, you hold the button on top for 5 seconds. At least that's what your user manual says.

That is true for a full power off. The device totally shuts off this way, but it is not the equivalent of a soft reset. Its good to know that we have these multiple ways to reboot, whether a complete power down or a simple soft reset. Anything to keep from having to constantly remove the back cover.

It performs the exact same function as a soft reset, so powering off the device fully and then turning it back on would do the same thing as a soft reset, just that having a program to reset the phone is usually faster as you don't have to wait to restart the device.

Here's a soft reset cab....

Put it on my start menu. Only works if your phone ain't frozen...just to clear some ram.

Re: Soft Resetting Touch Pro 2

How do you set up your soft reset Mike to just reset without the prompt like on the old school ver. 4. The prompt keeps coming up on my diamond, which is exactly the same as just holding the power button. I want it to just boom reset just by tapping with no prompt, thanks!
