Re: Soft Resetting Touch Pro 2

You slide open the battery cover and hit the red soft reset button next to the memory card slot.

Re: Soft Resetting Touch Pro 2

this thread talks about drilling a small hole so you do not have to remove the battery cover

Re: Soft Resetting Touch Pro 2

I have the cleartemp program that works great but sometimes after soft reset my screen goes black and there is no way to use cleartemp to do a soft reset again, so I need the hole to.

Re: Soft Resetting Touch Pro 2

My favorite method of soft resetting is holding the end button down for a few seconds and letting it power off. Then just power it back on. No extra programs to install and no taking the battery cover off.

Isn't that just powering off the cellular radio and then back on? I don't believe you are fully soft resetting your device that way, just going into airplane mode.

Re: Soft Resetting Touch Pro 2

Here's hoping for some custom made covers that allow access to soft reset and sd without removing covers espically since cdma TP2's are the same

No, it's a complete shut down of your device. It's the equivalent of going to start>shut down on your laptop/desktop. Pushing the soft reset is like pushing the reset button on the front of your computer. It's not a very graceful method of restarting your phone. Give it a shot and you'll see what I mean.
