I never contacted HTC/VZW about the TP1 and the delayed ring. I just chalked it up to the whole phone being a piece of garbage. I wanted to love that phone. I really did.

Re: Problems with U-Connect (handsfree)

Im on the other end here guys /girls.

I am glad HTC broke your BT with widcom because for two years I have been waiting for a HTC pda that works with the nissan/altima infinity G35/37 nav systems with BT. We havent had this since the 6800 with WM5 and apache.

J/K I want it to work for all of our nice cars with BT. I want world peace too, but at this point I cant say I'm overly dissapointed with HTC decision to use the widcom stack.

The more robust widcom stack works which all but confirms that MS broke the BT for our vehicles not Nissan/Infinity. I remember using this on my axim and its a fantastic stack, It might be missing some features right now, but i will say this.

From what I have seen with widcom and their development, they will address this for us much sooner than microsoft would. They also have more to loose since the OEMS chose to go this alternate direction again after some years. Give them a shot. I think you will be pleasantly supprised.

I would also venture to say the widcom stack is more expensive from a cost point than the built in MS stack with winmo. I dont think MS gives you a discount if you are an OEM if you choose not to use something included with WM6.1

Just thoughts.

I will cross my fingers about Widcom, you are right about MS and fixing thinks unless it is a security issue it will not get fixed by MS.

Re: Problems with U-Connect (handsfree)

Fisher Price could make the stack in my phone and I wouldn't care if it just worked.

Re: Problems with U-Connect (handsfree)

this will get more attention because their precious voice command product is faulted by this as well.

but for 2 years microsoft has ignored the nissan /infinity plagued BT issues.

Want proof, Here is social group discussing it.

http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/e...c-b2b542e9d7b4

Let widcom fix this for us boys and girls. In 60 days time you could be saying widcom is the best bt stack every for winmo. Reason well it is a damn good stack, they just need to tweak something. the a2dp sounds better on the widcom stacks ive used in the past.

Lets see how this plays out.

Re: Problems with U-Connect (handsfree)

Since the post is titled Problems with U-Connect, I would like to add my experience...

I was unable to connect my TP2 to my U-Connect, until I selected the pin number of '0000' (no other pin numbers would work) - after that it paired sucessfully. Hope this helps anyone trying to pair.

All this waiting. Why advertise a product half way (rhetorical question) ...?
I guess I'll keep checking back for a fix.
