Odd Notification Behavior

On a fresh reboot I will get an email notification on the first email that comes through.

I delete that email and there's nothing in my inbox.

I get another email but I get no notification - it shows up in the inbox correctly but the assigned alert I have for emails doesn't go off.

if I don't delete that email and get another email the notification goes off correctly.

Any thoughts on this one? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have hard reset a few times and this behavior is consistant - I am only running SBP Shell 3.0
