I think maybe you misinterpreted or misread some of the posts here... we know exactly what the "leak" is and how to fix it (even posted the solution). If your concern with buying this phone is memory usage, you don't need to hold off.

Re: Touch Pro2 program memory leak???

You think this is worth it in the end? I understand and have the fix ^^ It just seems like the newer HTC might be better. I could very well be wrong though. Also thank you very much for the fixes.

Re: Touch Pro2 program memory leak???

when using the Goothings tweaks, do you guys notice an improvement with lag or hesitation with navigating the phone or using certain apps?

Thank you.

Especially when your device is on for atleast a day or two with no soft resets.

Setting this to 0 will stop it from "sharing" memory, thus leaving you more available memory to operate.

Even though the setting is at 0, I personally haven't noticed any slowdowns regarding speed.

It works well, this reg will be included in my rom, i also suggest everyone take advantage of it as well.

Cheerio!
Is there a compromise value? My ATT was set at 14,941,888. Maybe something between that and zero?

Re: Touch Pro2 program memory leak???

Let's put it this way, there's no advantage to sucking up RAM and every advantage to free it up.
