Re: Sprint/VZW Price Comparison (AKA Why is VZW's TP2 so much cheaper?)

![]() Next: the page I linked to is a blog by someone who works for Sprint management. In it, he gives his Sprint email address and the last 3 digits of his employee ID. He then directs you to take those items to a sprint.com page HERE. If you'll hover your mouse over the link, it will appear in the status bar at the bottom of this page. Note that it is a sprint web-page. On that page, after entering his email address and last 3 digits of his employee ID, click 'Shop Now'. On the next page, click 'Plans' then 'Individual Plans'. Scroll down to "Everything Plus™ Data" and look at the prices underneath it. Last edited by SweetBearCub; 09-11-2009 at 09:35 PM. |

As far as I'm concerned, call quality from one carrier to the next is going to be based off of where you live. For me, Verizon is the best in my area. For others, Sprint is better in their areas. It isnt fair to say that one carrier has better signal quality than the other...its all about what works best for you and your location

Regardless of who has the best plans or customer service, a high tech phone and cheap plan do you no good if you can't make use of them. |

and as far as the link, you even said thats with what sero does(minus' 10bucks, adds 50more minutes)... my link is what the "normal guy" gets offered, again no TEP included in it Quote:
great point by the way!!!! **edit** and i do agree overall with you on the topic... aside from 1 plan that VZW offers that compares to sprints Newest plan, even SERO aside, sprint is still better rate wise Last edited by boredandtattooed; 09-11-2009 at 10:19 PM. |

TEP is of course not included. I added the $7 TEP to the 59.99 rate and posted the total. Quote:
EDIT: 8notime, thanks for the chart. As far as reliability goes, AT&T is dead last in every city, and Sprint wins - By a very slim margin - Compared to Verizon. Speed-wise, I've never felt that it was particularly slow. A lot of the time, our phones are the bottlenecks, due to limited processing capabilities. I regularly tether and get speed consistent with a mid-range DSL line 99% of the time. Of course, I'm in San Francisco where they got the top marks for speed. Verizon reception where I live and work is great, Sprint, ATT etc, is terrible. If Sprint was great and Verizon bad I would switch to Sprint. This topic is a complete waste of time. I cannot understand this phone carrier fanboyism at all. I would not switch to Sprint even if it were free simply because my phone would be almost useless. The money is irrelevant without good reception. If Sprint reception is great where you use your phone and you can save some money that's cool too. |

Re: Sprint/VZW Price Comparison (AKA Why is VZW's TP2 so much cheaper?)
Not sure how you got this, but I pay 102 a month for 700 anytime minutes two lines and data. Not to mention the FAR superior service and customer service. You would think both being CDMA they would have equivalent service, but I have found that not to be the case. I had Sprint/nextel for 3 years, and have been with Verizon for 3 years since then, and wouldn't trade anything to go back to sprint. Oh, I also have insurance on one phone.
