Re: Voice Command Caller Anouncement over BT

I dont get call announcements at all through BT or the phone itself. How do you get it to announce calls though the phone?

Sounds like there are a lot of BT issues with the TP2. What a bummer.
yeah pushing the snd button works just fine and i can say and hear everything over the motorola HX1 but using the bt button just calls the last person i dialed. I'm wondering if its the headset because i can hear my music through it but i though that was just for bt stereo headsets

Re: Voice Command Caller Announcement over BT

I spent over an hour on the phone in a 3 way with Verizon & HTC techs, their solution.... bad phone they're sending a new one out tomorrow. And I'm guessing it will be the same way

Re: Voice Command Caller Anouncement over BT

Until the Hard SPL is worked out and a cooked Rom it most likely will not get fixed any time soon. I can not see it being fixed in the 6.5 Windows unless it is delay by Sprint till around Christmas. Unless HTC drops the Widcomm drivers and put back in MS BT like it should have been. If the is a business phone Like me the MSVC BT is the most and first most function to work on this phone.

Is there anything in the HX1 manual that indicates a different type of press for "initiate VC" vs "redial last number"? On most of my headsets, a short press does the VC and a longer press or a double press redials. Just making sure you're not holding the button down too long, etc.

Re: Voice Command Caller Anouncement over BT

I must be missing something because it appears to be working for me. I'm using a Plantronics Voyager 510 BT headset and I can do all the MSVoice commands on it.

When the phone rings I hear the ring in the BT earpiece, if I don't answer it the phone will ring also. If I answer the call works it all works as expected.

When enabled correctly the phone rings it should "announce" who is calling. The phones artificial voice will actually say to you Phone call, or message from John doe. I cant get the feature to work at all. With or with out BT

Ah I got it. Like spoken caller ID. Yes I don't get that, just a ring in the ear for phone and a chime for text messages and meeting notices.

thanks

Re: Voice Command Caller Anouncement over BT

A few times on my BlueAnt Supertooth 3, I actually heard the caller name to come out, though this isn't important to me. What is more important doesn't work - on the TP2, when I press "End", it takes forever. Those in the car have to be silent to avoid being heard on the other end, or I have to use the End key on the phone

Re: Voice Command Caller Anouncement over BT

I was able to use it to call a contact and it repeated the name of the caller. After yelling into it a few times..lol
