Re: BTTray.exe is not a valid Win32 application??
The latest version of TomTom installs a couple incompatible/unnecessary .dll's.
Look for these two files in the '\windows' directory and use a 'competent' file explorer like Resco to rename/remove them: \Windows\BtSdkCE30.dll \Windows\BtCoreIf.dll |

I'll try it, thanks for the reply. Would TomTom leave those behind even after I uninstalled the .cab?

So look for TomTom 7.915(9106) and you should be good.

Just rename the files listed above using Resco file explorer, soft reset your device and enjoy the error-free start up. ![]() |

Re: BTTray.exe is not a valid Win32 application??
so does TomTom overwrite anything when it installs these files, or does deleting them actually put it back to where it was before you installed TomTom. My fear is that TomTom overwrote something and even though deleting those files gets rid of the annoying pop-up, I might be losing functionality.
FYI - On a fresh bootup of the TP2, BTTray.exe is in the startup foler by default and it points to BTTrayCE.exe. |
