BTTray.exe is not a valid Win32 application??

I got my TP2 this morning and I installed WMWiFiRouter and TomTom Nav. 7 now when I turn the phone on I get the error 'BTTray.exe is not a valid Win32 application.' What could cause that and how can I fix it? How could I go back to like when I first opened it? This is my first WinMo device. Please be gentle.

The latest version of TomTom installs a couple incompatible/unnecessary .dll's.

Look for these two files in the '\windows' directory and use a 'competent' file explorer like Resco to rename/remove them:

\Windows\BtSdkCE30.dll
\Windows\BtCoreIf.dll

I'll try it, thanks for the reply. Would TomTom leave those behind even after I uninstalled the .cab?

I am using Resco Explorer and i cant delete the files, is there any other way to do this?

It's the verison of TomTom you are installing. I got this error after when i was installing the old version which i had for my TP1. I was about to find and install version TomTom 7.915(9106) which works great.

So look for TomTom 7.915(9106) and you should be good.

I ran into the same issue and this is how I got around it:

Just rename the files listed above using Resco file explorer, soft reset your device and enjoy the error-free start up. :)

so does TomTom overwrite anything when it installs these files, or does deleting them actually put it back to where it was before you installed TomTom. My fear is that TomTom overwrote something and even though deleting those files gets rid of the annoying pop-up, I might be losing functionality.

FYI - On a fresh bootup of the TP2, BTTray.exe is in the startup foler by default and it points to BTTrayCE.exe.
