Re: Using sprint Touch pro 2 in different country

yes the phone works with the voda SIM card, outside USA and as long as the network provides data service you will be able to tether you laptop to internet, i did it via bluetooth. first you pair them up then from the TP2, program/internet sharing, click connect then you should have a new network connection, DHCP assigned by your phone, and gateway will be your phone, whose ip address is 192.168.0.1

That sounds wonderful.

I am sure if you can get a prepaid SIM card with some data, you can tether to your laptop.

I am doing that now on my Treo Pro.

I know what to do. Thanks!

Re: Using sprint Touch pro 2 in different country

Hello, I'm very familiar with using Sprint phones overseas. I had a blackberry 8830 while in Iraq. The phone came unlocked just like the TP2. I just bought a SIM card and put it into my phone and started making phone calls. Too easy. I did the same thing in Europe (Germany, France and Spain).

When you call Sprint International, they'll tell you that the TP2 is already unlocked.

Re: Using sprint Touch pro 2 in different country

What is the procedure to use the SIM when oversea?

I dont need to tell Sprint in advance right?

So when oversea, turn the phone off, put in the oversea SIM and turn it back on and it should work? No other settings?
