yup, my phone stayed@100% for 4 hours yesterday evening and that including about 50 txts and a soft reset only then did it drop to 97%

i dont think the 1% driver is very accurate.

so far today the phone has been off the charger for 3 hours and its still at 100% after a 25 minute phone call and about 30 txts.

Re: My TP2 kept a 100% charge during 5 soft-resets.

theres disclaimers all over that 1% battery driver that say specifically that the 90-100% markers are very inaccurate

Yeah, it's looking more and more likely that the driver is faulty. I was beginning to think I had a wonder battery or something

Further tests conclude that charging from a computer only gives the phone an 86% charge according to the 1% driver. After taking the phone off usb charging, it rapidly drops from 100% to 86% in less than a minute.

it's always the people w/o the new phones to comment with sarcasm first. it's funny how people make it clear they're not getting the tp2, yet they're always the first to say something negative about it. The tp1 forum must be getting cold w/o all the company, huh?

the bigger picture here is that it would be nice to get an idea if the charge does hold up better. the op obviously has done this with his previous phone and noticed a difference. So why mock him with sarcasm?

couldn't have said it better myself. thank you.

coming from a tp1 where resetting the phone would make the battery drop almost 8-10%, this is a great improvement.

My battery life has been amazing with the TP2! I am so shocked. Yesterday it was at 75% when I went to bed, didn't use it a ton, but from the TP where I carried a charging cable with me always (dead mid-day) this is amazing. I don't normally say this, but way to go HTC!

Re: My TP2 kept a 100% charge during 5 soft-resets.

My questioning of it wasn't sarcasm, but sincere. I am still on the Mogul, however. Sometimes when my battery is virtually dead and giving warnings, I soft-reset and actually gain a little more time. Maybe at that point, it recalibrates or something.

Re: My TP2 kept a 100% charge during 5 soft-resets.

the 1% increment power isnt fully integrated with the tp2 hardware if yo9u notice after you unplug it you stay at 100% for a good 15 minutes no way your still 100% if its been on the entire time once you get under 90 then the real power is probably shown.
