was created..but died at one point..the earliest update shows January 17, 2008, but we've been demanding it pretty much soon after the Titan came out when a notice of visual performance from the ppc6700.

This is all unrelated to the iPhone in any way..if anything its just an extra reason why we should get these drivers.

And by the way..WM is not playing catchup....the Titan is superior to the original iPhone in all ways aside from iPhone having a bigger screen...all iPhone did was introduce touchscreen to the casual consumer. Only with the iPhone 3gs did they get somewhat superior hardware..but thats the carriers fault for taking so long to release..let em show you cycle

HTC makes phone -> 1 year later -> Carrier releases phone

Apple makes Phone -> 3 month later -> carrier releases phone

If we were going by same cycle iPhone does, we'd already all have snap dragons at least.

I just realized that google got their android phone pretty fast too considering its HTC to a carrier...which only makes me believe that Microsoft is trying to loose on purpose :/...they don't realize how these inferior hardware with are purposely crippled is ruining them

OK. Convince me. On the Mogul days, What are U gonna use a bad@ss PSP comparable graphics for What game needs it? Another question, What do U think a powerful GPU is for? I will tell U what. PC's do not need powerful GPU's. We just use it for internet browsing and spreadsheets. Maybe a little image and video editing. But why does Video card makers made powerful GPU's with it's own RAM. It is simply bcoz of gaming needs. I do not understand why U said that those days,WM users are asking for a bad@ss GPU while there is no game created for a bad@ss GPU.

And the Mogul is superior with the 1st gen Iphone? Dude, Mogul has a huge problem with memory. 64Mb killed the mogul. The only reason why people bought it is because of the KB. When Vogue got it's update of 6.1 and GPS, Peolple started selling their moguls aside from the fact that they are gonna lose the physical KB.

U don't think Iphone change the game? Look around. All phones right now resembles what Iphone started. Even the Pre.

Tell me, B4 the 1st gen Iphone. WHat phone has a multi touch and an accelerometer?

http://www.htcclassaction.org is not created to ask HTC to give U PSP comparable graphics. It's to address HTC decices problems. If U don't have an extensive graphics game to play on ur device. U don't have a problem. The problems with GPU occurs is when a device like the Iphone can play extensive graphics game and HTC's devices cannot.

Another thing, Any games from the App store can be played from the 1st gen to 3GS. 3GS just play them better. There is no compatibility issues whatsoever.

Don't know that I agree that it was also so for WM, the Axim 51's had nicer graphics/video capabilities, but I guess even then, really only enthusiasts bought WM devices for their entertainment functionality.

Don't forget that dell is a PC brand. They know what PC needs and incorporate on their devices. Like I said few post before. There is XDA flame with a dedicated GPU. A GPU that is used by Laptops. But such GPU is useless coz there is no game to use it for. Pacman? bejeweled? U don't need a dedicated GPU for that. I think they put it there just so when the software is released, the device is ready.

I would say all phones today resemble the Axim 51x or the iPaq 1900.

No debate that iPhone moved the industry along, of course; big time (not always to the good; I want my d-pad back!).

It's not just games, though. Video playback is another example of serious backsliding. And UI transitions.

Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am glad alot of ppl are realizing that the Pro2 is NOT accelerated. Remember..... HTC pumps these phones out and care for nothing if we demand the drivers or not.They still have customers and they know it. Only way we can make HTC cut this BS is to stop buying their kunk and wait for Tegra. Seriously... when I played with the Pro2 (tmobile.Telus) I was shocked to see how similar the performance was.And the screen wasnt that exciting. I was expecting it to be way bigger.

Can you guys point me to the area in HTC's marketing material where they are promoting the TP2 as a 3D gaming device? I understand the iPhone is being marketed a certain way, with mass consumer appeal. They also deliver on those promises. However it seems to me that HTC is focusing on certain business functionality, which they also deliver on. It would actually be a mistake for them to do anything differently with the current OS. With the combo of WM7 and new hardware on the horizon they might retune their strategy.

Then I would strongly suggest you stop buying them. The biggest problem with that is that there aren't enough of you that feel that strongly about it. HTC knows that. They understand that. They obviously don't see there being a big enough return on the investment to make it worth the cost, time, and effort.

I'm not trying to be rude or argumentative at all, just realistic and open. The way most consumers buy things is to look for the item that has the list of features they want. If something does not have one of those features and it is important enough to us we simply stroke that item form the list and look for ones that have that feature. Sending letters to the manufacture demanding they give them that upgrade really isn't the way to do it. Do it with your purchasing dollars if you think you have enough backing.

We are not saying we want the drivers to play XBOX on it. We are saying we wantr the drivers for the gpu inside so the camera does not come to a crawl when your in a low light area. Simple. Also the drivers would make browsing thru the phone so smooth your eys would not strain like it does currently.

You are missing the point. As for myself, I have stopped buying HTC PPC's with the MS72xx cpu. And its not a recall they have to do, its actually paying the licence fee they should have paid long ago to have qualcomm give them the drivers so we have a good phone in which surpasses the older phones in performance. I mean, some of us are paying full price of 549.99 for these new next gen upgrade phones. Dont you think that when we pay over half a gran we should get drivers that should have been included? By not purchasing drivers, HTC makes more money per sale of 1 unit. So its greed on HTC parts. So apologizing or being sympathetic towards HTC and inplying that HTC never advertized the PPC to be a gaming device is invalid. Remember, its not gaming most of us want... its actually to make the phone not stutter and scroll with page tearing. Just open up your file explorer, scroll down and up... you see that page tear? Yes.. its not gaming its gonna fix.Its the phone overall thats gonna get fixed.
