what i wanted to do was get total commander to copy the old htmlnote.dll out of windows to a safe place before i replaced it - but even total commander won't allow me to copy out of windows.

edit: wait what do you mean "get this back"? it's in my /windows directory, and it should be the default one as i uninstalled the .cab versions.

edit 2: total commander seems to copy htmlnote.dll out of /windows - it just says it's unable to. i told it to save in /My Documents and it said failed, but there's a copy of htmlnote.dll that's the same filesize. wtf.
