Mine has the same gaps. i looked at a new one at best buy and it had the exact same gaps.

I have an additional question. right above the windows and back key below the zoom bar is the screen a little bit wavy?

+1 to the gap under the space bar. No creaking sound though.

Yeah it looks like the clips aren't being put in properly. I tried putting pressure on both sides while clipping on the battery door and well that didn't solve anything. It's as if the clips aren't big enough to actually clip into the frame of the phone.

My phone has been in a case since I left the store so I didn't notice the buldge also. I just took the case off and notice the bulge on the side with the Stylus. The other side is flush.

It won't warrant me taking it back though.. In your situation its a bit different.

kinda reminds me of the vzw touch pro infamous bump
and while it may not look as bad in pics it shows poor build quality

The bump does annoy me from time to time. Its like, wtf, you guys seriously didn't notice it while building it? or you just don't give a $h!t.
