Touch Pro 2 [Telus] Battery Door Spacing?

In an effort not to Hijack Leanne's original thread, i will show the pictures here.

Please report if your Pro 2 has this issue as well.

I have until the 31st and I am debating on exchanging my pro 2 for a new one due to this.

Re: Touch Pro 2 [Telus] Battery Door Spacing?

Just an fyi. User's who don't own a pro2 might say I'm on drugs, but. If you see this in person, It's much worse. The camera doesn't quite capture the "gap" and "warped" nature of this battery door lol.

I would exchange it. PERIOD. It should be right. Makes me think I might wait a bit longer before getting mine even if my 12 yr old is jonesin for my pro.

Re: Touch Pro 2 [Telus] Battery Door Spacing?

I'm seeing this on one side of my TP2 only Mike. It's the stylus side, and just over half way up from the bottom. Seems to be the small plastic formations that guide and lock the back in place. They don't fit precisely and cause the back to bulge out slightly.

In my case it's hardly noticeable, and only in the one small area. I noticed it some time ago but didn't think much of it.

Actually, now I'm checking thoroughly, I do see it ever so slightly on the opposite side, but I really have to look to see that one.

Can't tell from your pictures how bad yours are, but if you're not happy, take 'er back man! You paid good $$$.

Re: Touch Pro 2 [Telus] Battery Door Spacing?

I would exchange that, dude. That's ridiculous. I exchanged my TP1 for a new one within a couple days after release because of the keyboard gap and raised capacitive touch area, and I'm glad I did.

Re: Touch Pro 2 [Telus] Battery Door Spacing?

Now Mike, I haven't gotten my tp2 yet since I am with sprint but when I do, if it looks like that when I take out the box I will be going right back to sprint for an exchange. Even if I got a refurb that looked like that it would piss me off, thats just unacceptable. So I say take it back stat.

+1 to the spacing on both sides. and a creaking noise when you press the KB. ...AND an oily mark on the screen. i went to take it back and they said no dice. d1cks. i'm going to try again with another rep cause the last one was an utter douchebag.

Re: Touch Pro 2 [Telus] Battery Door Spacing?

I notcied this problem as well. Mine turned out to be not clipped properly from putting the back on while the stylus was still in. Yours looks to be a little different as its happening on both side, I'd take her back.

...I forgot to mention, when I showed the rep the bulges on the sides, he pulled out a new one and it also had them. gave him reason to say "theyre all like that. too bad"
