The only phone I have seen recently with flash support built in is the Hero.

I think he/she meant a camera flash, aka LED. I also miss this feature and I am debating if it's worth giving it up to upgrade. For me the new features I like are bigger screen and fix for overheating.

just like all the manila it will be ported to the tp and the diamond. just a matter of time

The funny thing is people keep saying it will get ported but there is yet to be a manila version ported to a different device that works properly. They always have problems. Rather it's the resolution difference with images cutting off the sides or just buggy and constantly restarting. I will rather have my touch pro 2 with the official version of the updated manila. HTC is moving to WVGA so all these VGA devices will take alot of work to port anything made for WVGA. and as i stated yet it is yet to be successful without major bugs

My cousin has the t-mobile version and it doesn't get hot at all. That issue is gone. So if thats your reason for not upgrading then you need to upgrade. The phone is great and the built quality is fantastic. So sturdy and doesn't wobble, or make sounds like the touch pro did. Well worth the upgrade. Also what i find funny is people are saying they will just wait for the next Gen. Well guess what??? When the new tegra or snapdragon devices are launched i will be getting those as well lol. I get all the new toys. The joy of being a young successful man with no kids :)

if you're on this forum, you want this phone... it's that simple.

LOL, no I meant camera flash. I use it all the time for pictures and as a flashlight. Appreciate the response though :D

when my wife gets home, i might swing by a t-mobile store and see what it's all about. but to be honest, this refurb tp has been pretty good and i finally have it set up just the way i want it(for now anyways!). but go on playa lol!

Rushing out to purchase the junk that HTC decides to toss at us is the reason why they will never fix their older phone. An aluminum back cover with a small amount of heat transfer tape on the area that gets hot below the light and on the battery is a quick fix but they will never do it. (Yeah, I made a make-shift one that worked)

GPS lag is a completely fixable issue that they just don't give a damn about. I can get videos to play good after converting it to the perfect specs. I see no lag in nearly 100% of non htc phones. I don't believe anyone that says that their tp is lagless. The specs say that the tp 1 is a "Fully built and turbocharged Viper" but at times it functions like a "Ford Excursion with a 50cc engine with a blown cylinder".

The loss of flash? I admit that flash is worthless for photos but I use that feature more than I make calls. LOL this is a complete downgrade IMO.

FAIL!

Qualcomm 7600 > Qualcomm 7201A
WVGA > VGA
New Manila > Old Manila
Notification LED > Non-existent
New (larger) Keyboard > Old (smaller) Keyboard
New Loud Speaker > Old (failure) Loudspeaker
Proximity Sensor > Non-existent
Tilt Screen > Non-existent
No overheating > Overheating
GSM Radio > No GSM Radio
3.5mm Jack > 2.5mm Jack

Should I just stop now? Because I can't see how this is a downgrade in any way shape, or form. Please note, to understand this comparison to the TP the > symbol means "greater than".
