Re: How To: Configure GPS

Awesome. Hopefully it will survive a reset.

At this point I'm not even sure I can get a non-assisted lock. I guess I should get back that point before going on.

Anybody that has working assisted GPS, could you please give your PRL/PRI? They pushed an old Alltel PRL (40055) to me I guess since I didn't update my plan. I'm just trying to eliminate unknowns.

Re: How To: Configure GPS

Judging on some of the comments in here, was everyone with Verizon's TP2 factory GPS settings the same?

I've done one hard reset so far. Both times I was set to COM4, I've still yet to change. Others have this set differently?

Re: How To: Configure GPS

I was using my Sprint TP2 on vacation and was using Google maps, and used the GPS and it worked just fine, so is there any reason to do any of the configuring in this post whatsoever?

Thanks!

Re: How To: Configure GPS

Has a VZW user figured out how to put the TP2 into diag mode? I try #3424# but it does not do the trick.

Re: How To: Configure GPS

My Verizon TP2 works right out of the box for GPS and aGPS.

When I launch Google Maps it finds me from 500 to 1,000 meters, and then when the satelites kick in, ( pretty quickly I might add ) it finds me to within 40 meters. I haven't had a single issue yet and all I did was turn on location and download the quickGps data.
