That's because they're not in the .cab, they're already installed in the Windows folder on the TP2. Beware there are 5,000+ files in that folder if you want to look at it on your device (I used Explorer on my computer with the phone connected to it). Just did some digging. It looks like we do have FM radio built in. I searched the FCC site for the Verizon model (grantee code: NM8, Product Code: RHOD500). Select the detail link for any of the results, then the Internal Photos link. This will bring up a PDF file with internal photos of the phone, showing off the chips (granted this looks like one of the older, prototype models). The first photo on page 5 shows a closeup of a Broadcom BCM4325 chip next to the Qualcom MSM7600 processor. A quick Google search turns up this page on Broadcom's site about the chip. It describes the chip as: "with integrated IEEE 802.11a/b/g (MAC/Baseband/Radio), Bluetooth 2.1 + enhanced data rate (EDR), and FM receiver." I'm headed home from work right now or else I'd take a peek in the Windows folder for a file with a name like that right now. It might also be helpful if someone with a Euro model with working radio could search the registry for "BCM4325" (or just 4325) and see what results turn up.

According to the FCC pictures, it is a BCM4325. According to Broadcom's website:

BCM4325 - Low-Power 802.11a/b/g with Bluetooth® 2.1 + EDR and FM

Is there a tutorial/walkthrough for how to enable the FM radio on Sprint? I searched the thread and didn't find anything conclusive. It would be nice if there were just a straight up "here is how you do it" thread.

I've been thinking the same thing, I think I must have installed the wrong cab or something because mine still wont work..

There's no workaround. It does not work.

The point of this thread is to basically show that the hardware is there, as well as some of the software (maybe) and to try and find a way to actually enable the FM Radio, if it's possible. Given that the hardware is there though, it should definitely be possible, the question is how to do so though.
