There is usually an online discount of $100 rather than waiting for a rebate. It works out to be the same in the end you just have to wait for a rebate if you go through the store.

If it was just a matter of waiting a week or 2 to get the extra $100 back in my pocket I'll be waiting at the store when it opens Friday. I thought it was interesting, though, that the guy I talked to this morning encouraged me to check the store, but then to call him back and he'd "see what he could do for me", suggesting he may be able to offer even a better price?

I just popped into my local store and talked with a guy who's helped me before, and has always proven rather knowledgable. I was actually in to address something on my TP, and he volunteered that they're getting the TP2 Friday, so I pressed him for more. He said they wouldn't have it in the store Friday, but that they could order it FROM the store, and have it delivered to them next day, for me to pick up in the store on Saturday. He even said they could have it sent directly to my address on Saturday. I asked about that being an "expedited shipping" option online or via telesales, and he said no, as far as he knew it was only available when ordering through the store. Either way, whether I have to go into the store or just wait for it at home, Saturday's better than Monday :) The other thing I asked him about was the price difference between online and in the store. He said he could match whatever was being offered online, so here's hoping!

They are telling me that I have to wait untill October 30 to get my NE2 and that is after 19 months and the earliest they can go. A couple people over the weekend told me that I was elgible for it, so I'm pretty pissed right now. I may not wait and just upgrade without the $100 NE2 discount.....I really hate wanting a phone this bad :drunken: a hundred bucks to get it a month earlier. I guess if I wait then ROMs will be available, but thats not my style...

I figure the earliest anyone (without serious connections) will see this phone is Monday. I don't believe for a second that a store could expedite shipping on Saturday to a home or their store. I mean, Verizon has overnighted me every phone since 2005, either purchase or replacement, but they have never been able to offer Saturday delivery, even when asked.
