Why doesn't anyone ever take a pic of the back of the Verizon version. I'm pretty curious to see whether it looks like the Sprint version or the Telus version.

Also, did whoever send these to you give you an idea of release date? Right now, the rumor is 8/27. Yeah, as in 3 weeks from tomorrow.

Kind of interesting that there is a "3G" logo for network, as opposed to "Ev". Is this something new, or did I miss something? Does that mean it will also say "4G" when the opportunity arises?

Anything else interesting come out of the Parker Hotel in Palm Springs a week ago?

I'd assume its a favorite button just like on the Verizon TP1.

I like the green theme but do you think Verizon might do something stupid like make the back of the device green, like they destroyed the XV6800 by turning it into a blue fischer-price toy? :???:

lol they probably dont care about the back. id rather see the front at first and then the back. just to see if we get the ugly battery cover like sprint.

I don't really care what the back cover looks like, as that can be changed via 3rd party accessories. What I care about is if it has a 3.5 phone jack, and if the memory is the same as the other versions.

Holy crap. I guess when it rains, it pours.

Obviously, the 3.5mm jack is great. Not that I hate it, but is that a picture of the world on the back of the phone? I'll have to see that in person, and if I do hate it, I'd be more than happy to trade the back cover for someone's Sprint version back cover.

Its more proof for sprint to get off their butts and release the TP2 since All and I do mean All of their competitors are about to beat them to the punch with this great phone. All of sprint's energy is tied up in the Pre, which is a nice phone i admit. But if their is a phone after the Pre and "jesus" phone that people want, its the TP2. Now if Im a company losing people by the hundreds of thousands, and reporting losses, Id be on this puppy and rake in the dough.

wow awesome job verizon, very well done! full ram, 3.5 jack, i love the world map on the back, if the gps is unlocked as well this phone will be damn near perfect!they just save me as a customer

haha maybe! I am starving now that you mention it!! It is 1030 am here in good ol' Iraq. Almost time for my "lunch date" haha.

On another note:

Does anyone know if the VZW TP2 will have "push e-mail" functionality? My department uses Outlook 2007 OWA for our e-mail, and it would be icing on the cake for this function to be there.

:? No. I drank the blackberry kool-aid a while ago. I owned an original HTC Touch on Sprint a while ago, and if my memory serves me correctly, it had push e-mail. Just want to make sure nothing has changed. The only reason I got a blackberry in the first place was because of the great e-mail support. Looks like the TP2 will tickle my fancy more :)

nothing changed. its just 6.1 and that has push email. well it has push email if your co. supports it and as you said your company supports it so your good to go.
