I hope there ls never a repeat with another Sprint phone launch like with the BB Tour. I mean it gets released, is on the website with pricing, but it was not in stock anywhere except very few locations with extremely limited stock per location. That's very dissapointing and hopefully that won't happen with the TP2 when it's finally released. Everybody looks forward to new phones being released including myself. It's like Xsmas to me. So as for my negative post I appologize to anyone it irritates or offends. I know how it sounds now that I think about it and hopefully the TP2 won't have that big of a delay being released on Sprint. That was only my educated guess on things I have heard and not from reps or retail managers. I will not post anymore negative comments so no more flame throwers ok.

Ok here we go your right about the bb tour release and there stock! It was a botch release and they end up comp'in a lot of ppl for it so your right I hope the tp2 stock is nowere never the bb tour cause that was terrible

Well I'm a manager at Sprint here in Jax, Fl and people ask me everyday when we are getting the touch pro 2. So far from what I've been able to find out...(and it's not wehat you want to hear) is the touch pro 2 is NOT in the 2009 road map. Which means we are most likely looking at Feb or even March possibly of 2010. Tmobile will be the 1st to have it, they should have there's pretty soon. Just sharing what I've found so far, things may change at any given point.

I heard that. That is definitely a hefty price to pay, I am eligible for a rebate so I am trying to sell my TP to get the cash for the new one. It is a nice phone, so hopefully I can sell mine to get it. Good luck with yours!!

I qualify for the rebate but I am willing to pay full pop now and then when my current contract ends in january I will be in a better position to negotiate on whatever else comes out after the tp2. Plus I don't mind paying full price considering I got my diamond and pro for free and I didn't even have to resign a contract. But I am calling it now, the price will be $649.99 with no contract on sprint.

for all those that think the Touch Pro 2 will not be out in 2009 i have to say that you are wrong. The sprint roadmap that was released is not accurate!
The touch pro 2 WILL be avail starting on Sept 3rd.
I have a very reliable source that says this date is still correct.

Re: Sprint Touch Pro 2 Release Date Sept 6TH Per Sprint Corp

Here is some more info that I think will back up the hope that the 6th or 7th are the dates for the release.

If nothing else this confirms that Sprint does not plan an official release of the TP2 until afterwards.

This is to the person who said Sprint is doing well, so results are in

Still managing to skirt the ever-present how many Palm Pres has the company sold question, Sprint reported its Q2 2009 results this morning. While the company did post a slightly bigger loss than expected, it wasn?t the bone crushing declines we?ve seen from Old Yeller in recent history. Operating revenue came in at $8.1 billion, down 10 percent YoY and just short of the Street?s $8.12 billion projection, and it posted a net loss of $384 million or $0.13 per share, down 12 percent from $344 million in the same quarter last year. The part that?s really hard to swallow here is that despite the release of the Palm Pre, one of the most highly anticipated handsets of the year, Sprint still managed to shed 257,000 subscribers net in the quarter, up from 187,000 in Q1. Its subscriber count now stands at 48.8 million. The shocking part ? Sprint lost 991,000 postpaid subscribers this past quarter, meaning the bleeding has barely slowed in this crucial category. If the Palm Pre, endless time spent improving customer service, vastly improved network quality and some amazingly attractive plans can?t keep subscribers on board, what can?
See sprint doesn't understand anything at all...They can't bet on 1 phone for half the entire year...people want choices!!!

I went down to a Sprint store yesterday..funny story..saw 2 people ask for a Touch Pro 2..but they didn't know how it looks like so the agent look up finds a Touch Pro and sells them it and they buy it lol

Anyways back on track...In the sprint store there is NO CHOICE AT ALL...like 15 black berries and 10 other phones which are all crap(and look the same)...how about a decent line up...

I mean, isn't their goal to try to make you want to upgrade and renew your contract? when you walk it all feels like same crap...

that said..GIVE US TOUCH PRO 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:protest: lol
