check out the styling on the back.. looks epic. although i can see alot of dust and dirt, lint getting crammed into those little pockets and its gonna be a problem cleaning.

wow. im both impressed and proven wrong. in the good way.
is it just me or is the screen size kinda smaller looking?

first thing imma do is snap out that metal grill behind the back cover, sand it down to a metallic finish and pop it back in. i hope it'll be an aluminum or metal.
the soft rubbery "sprint" finish on the back cover looks to be a mix of black and hint of orange when it hits the light.

Glorious looking device!

But I'm waiting to get my hands on one physically to see if they resolve the poor durability/construction of the Touch Pro first... the tilt display just scares me with a device that big if they use the same type of durability as the Pro. I cannot tolerate another wobbly device.

Plus, with a screen that big, I almost feel like I wouldn't need the keyboard.

I'm probably in the minority, but this phone doesn't excite me at all. I've lost faith in HTC after my Touch Pro so rehasing my current phone and trying to sell it back to me a second time just isn't my preferred way to spend my hard earned cash.

Maybe if they offered me some hardware upgrades... More RAM and a larger ROM at the LEAST.

that phone looks AWESOME!!!!! But I would have to say I just got my TP and seen that sprint is also releasing the new PALM PRE in june so if anything I think I may grab that pda instead of the touch pro 2. IMO I would love to play with the NEW OS for palm since they been working on the damn thing for bout 4 yrs, lol

Because windows mobile caps out at 480 x 800 pixels. WM 7 is supposed to change that.
However, we actually gain 160 pixels over the tp, which is 480 x 640. But I think you may be referring to the dpi, which I guess is proportionately lower since the tp2's screen is so much bigger.

yea, I was kinda refering to the dpi.. (actually some some quick math makes me think the dpi is the same)
really it's sorta venting cuz I've had my eye on some of those mini laptops, but their res/dpi is worthless.

looks sweet...I'll wait til I see a review or people's responses before I jump ship from my touch pro...I'm not feeling the TF3D interface anymore since using wm 6.5 chrome interface...it's a lot more finger friendly with the big icons in the start menu too...only thing that's hard to press now is the start button...is there a way to map the start button to one of the hard buttons?

Im not sure they should be releasing this phone so close to the release of the palm pre. Sprint needs to focus on advertising this phone as much as tmobile,verizon and att do with their exclusive(as of right now) phones. Once again sprint will waste an opportunity to pull customers away from the other providers because of the lack of advertising..

Wow june? That's fast! I hope so...or sometime this summer would be nice! As long as it took sprint to get the touch pro never thought the tp2 would come to sprint this soon I thought we was looking at dec 09 for this puppy. Guess we will find out soon enough!

Same goes for me.
This has to be the best news ive heard in a while(and i just graduated yesterday... how sad is that)

I have a mogul now with a cracked screen so the touch screen is dead I have to resort to hardware keys and its two years old so the battery is gone two after a full nights charge I literally get less than five minutes of talk time before it dies. Ive been holding off on getting a new phone because i was waiting for this one and anticipating an October release so this is great.

Much sooner that expected. Since their is not going to be SERO on the Pre this looks like my next phone. My upgrade isn't until August so I have some time to see how the durability is.

Has this release date been confirmed? I mean, I know it says June on that link but didnt a leaked sprint roadmap just confirm the release date to be in the 4th quarter? Not to mention how the Current Touch Pro was delayed 80,000 times

my local sprint store said beginning of sept they are expecting the phone
and i highly doubt that they bump up a release date

yes it does seem early for Sprint to release the touch pro 2 when the touch pro hasn't even been out for a year on Sprint's network yet...I bet it won't get released in June..

Easy convincing on my part, though I should wait until I see it to do final judgement.

The only real advantage I can see for this phone floating around is the screen. It is a fair bit larger than the TP from my readings. I'm def. not interested in a larger screen. I don't want to be carrying a phone bigger than my current Touch Pro.

It would be harder for me to be ready to skip this phone if there were some major hardware enhancements. I mean why didn't they double the ROM or RAM or something? Seriously?

It really seems silly to go from the TP to this phone, but I guess most people just want the newest phone no matter what it is really.

well, alot has changed in a year... economy/administration...
It wouldn't surprise me at all if certain plans have changed or been accelerated.

looking at the pictures more, i kind of like the buttons at the bottom, also if you look, there is a zoom slide part...might work a little better than the scroll wheel on the current tp...mine seems sketchy at times...

i like the tp2 but to be honest, my 6900 performed better without the overheating and i'm waiting on my 5th tp replacement. so i don't think i'll be giving any more money to htc.
