LOL nope def not standing in a tower..just at home watching football. I doubt they'd be testing it here..I've yet to try the 4g!

@gTen sprint has said in their community forums that they have no plans to rollout EvDO Rev.B

If he was on rev b wouldn't the results page say rev b under the network father then rev a

It's interesting that this thread turned into a speedtest thread. lol

I get about 400-500KB download speeds on a good day with 5 bars in STL.

@horndoctor hmm when I was in STL I got 2.4mbps down, however once I got to my bros house in Collinsville it dropped to 900k and would continue to drop to 250k in the evening hours, that's still better than the 150k average I got in my hometown from 9am till 2am. Seems that STL has some crowding problems as people with Tmo on Howardforums and in their forums are complaining about their speeds in STL failing to get above 2mpbs.

Maybe they hid a tower somewhere in your house without you knowing lol jk..but 45ms is really really low ms, its closer to the ms you'd expect to get from a wired connection. By average wireless ms usually is like 100ms-200ms...

As for 4g, even if they don't have wimax it has nothing to do with it, Rev B is just a software update on their end..I mean I don't know what to say but those numbers are above the specifications of Rev A...

Do you have another phone that is not capable of Rev B to test?

or maybe your neighbor snuck a micro-cell in that is capable of Rev B into their tower station...no clue lol..but those speeds and pings are beyond normal...

Have you tried to use an app to see where the sprint tower your connecting to is? (distance wise)

I have no clue what to say..but at same time we are talking about sprint reps...they told us many things..its also possible they were just testing it in his area and never bothered to go back..cause as I said its mostly a software upgrade...

um..depends how it gets that..it can be simply based on IP address...

The ap tells us how far the tower being used is from us when running the test.
When I ran my tests it told me that the nearest tower was 2o kilometres from my location

The speedtest app tells you the distance between you and the test server, not the location of the tower your connected to.
