Re: Lovin' this new battery

The extra time is great but I hated the brick feeling in my pocket and hands! LOL I got a wall charger I keep at work and I just swap batts. halfway through the day. A little more work, but it gets me through! LOL

Re: Lovin' this new battery

Well, that is a good point, but sometimes you just need the extra capacity. I have a wall charger as well and three extra batteries... the extended run batteries will be nice for those times when I don't want to have to bother changing batteries during the day!!

Re: Lovin' this new battery

As the OP my experience continues to be very solid. My price walking into VZ store was $10.23 tax and shipping included. But what is a few bucks considering all the power. As far as size? No problem for me. I actually prefer the larger size as it feels even more solid in my hands when keyboard is open. Like I said, lovin' it. But I am now thinking VZW owes me for selling out on these

Re: Lovin' this new battery

This looks great - so do all the verizon wireless corporate stores carry the extended battery and door via ship to order only for that price ~$12?

Re: Lovin' this new battery

Came in early yesterday actually (so I was close enough for 1 day shipping) they so far seem to be working GREAT. if they hold up nicely the next few days I am going to order a few more.

Pictures attached

only problem is now how do I use my cradles.... hope I can order a cradle for the different size or modify existing cradles.

Re: Lovin' this new battery

for some reason I can not EDIT my post ???

only problem is now how do I use my cradles.... hope I can order a cradle for the different size or modify existing cradles.

while it seems to be an original HTC battery it is NOT a very high quality or high density cell.

as you can see its WELL over twice the thickness of the stock battery so it should also be well over twice the CAPACITY of the stock battery yet its only 2100mah as someone noted??

it should be 3200mah at least consider the volume power density of the original battery.

if the size proves to not be a hindrance (its not "too" bad so far though it is alot larger) I may go ahead and order one of those mugen 3200-3500mah packs for it.

just confirmed original cell is 5.5w (1500mah) this one is 7.95w (2150mah) but should be more like 11-12 watt (3200mah or so) if they had use the same QUALITY cell as the stock battery.

Re: Lovin' this new battery

Well I couldn't wait So I purchased the :
  • OEM HTC XV6875 Verizon TP2 Extended Battery + Door /

  • Ebay Seller : skymaster28
  • $14.18 USD including free expedited shipping from California.

Thanks again for the previous link to the item. Will see how it goes on the Sprint TP2 once I receive it - should be ~3-4 days.

Re: Lovin' this new battery

yea OEM is always usually the best route to go when it comes to anything, while generics may seem to have good quality at first they always usually have a shorter lifespan. for example I bought a mugen 1800mah battery for my dell axim x51v and it now has a shorter life than the stock dell 1100mah battery.

Re: Lovin' this new battery

hmm I thought mugens were NOT generic IE were high quality oem style cells.

is there a better alternative? if I am going to have the thicker case I want the 3K+ mah to go with it.
