Re. your 1st post.
Restarts, I do at least once a day, usually in morning... it is Windows right? Personally go for performance, not a record..
OC'ing with wimospeed... ha, based on your 1st & 2nd posts, figured your questions were answered.. you actually have to set the OC, yes... make an icon for your best setting & also for 528 so you simply click 2 times to 1. clock down if you want run 2. android.

On a typical day I run SPB & have a single click icon that flashes into IPT & a single click back to SPB...

If you start with 125 MB of RAM it's not an issue!
I personally stick with 9 series in Energy ROM.. easy button, matter of choice

Re: DREAM PHONE - Mini guide :>))

I didn't flash but I did follow some of you suggestions. Killed ark, stopped sense, switched to compact menu and installed spb. I had tried spb before and didn't like it but that must have been a while ago. New version is very nice. Ram on boot is 101 which is not as much as you were getting but again no flash and pp is 16 I think. Running first 29007 rom. Very nice but I do have one strange issue.

If I am running an app and I get a text or sms I read that but when I am done and press the X to close it nothing happens. I have to press the windows start button to get the quick menu up and kill sms or email that way.

The other is a question. Is there a way to have the spb 3d message or mail viewer come up as the default when a new mail or message comes it. If I click on view or reply I get the standard wm one. The 3d is nice

Thanks for the info. I really like this setup and find the phone much more responsive. Next is to flash with pp-0 and take advantage of that extra ram.

Paul

101 works fine! Better than the 50 we were getting over the summer! lol
007 had some issues, flash the new 28xxx & see if issue goes away. I don't know SPB that well, have only been using a couple months.. I put an icon on the screen for it right above the 3 icon notification panel. Why not simply add each icon to the menu separately & put the 3d viewer in their instead of normal text messaging?

Page pool zero will not give you more RAM. It'll give you less. At zero, is like a switch or toggle, that turns on windows management of RAM (which should normally scare the living he** out of you)... Please re-read, it gives more to the OS & menu changes, etc.. are snappier, quick.. but RAM is lower.. the OS does give RAM back when needed, but nothing like flashing with a pp of 4! I use zero, 100 MB of RAM is good enough for me!

Re: DREAM PHONE - Mini guide :>))

I guess I will have to get off my butt and flash this weekend. I find I start with over 100 but just running media player in the background listening to some music and allreader reading an ebook and I am down to 35!!! wth... the amazing thing is that it still runs, for a while anyway and then freezes up

Re: DREAM PHONE - Mini guide :>))

Winstart 2.1 free #'s: coming soon

TouchXperiance (TX)
TX is BOTH a startmenu AND home/today/sense(cookie) REPLACEMENT
Didn't need to run Arto, as had already run Energy Startmenu Layout Switch.
The install of TX set itself to my start key (winkey).

I ran it in parallel with SPB @ same time.

MEMORY

TX = 1185 kb, 1.2Mb, or .15MBytes
GWES =12295 kb, 12.3Mb...

Ran it went into mail, out, a few different screens, TX was same & GWES was only 12895

LOOKS GREAT... now to burn a titanium ROM with a 3 page pool & get 135 MB of RAM !! LOL

Re: DREAM PHONE - Mini guide :>))

Just so you know, the Winstart2.2 free just came out today. Thanks for running tests, haven't got a chance to play with it yet... maybe tomorrow?

I had problems last time(month or 2 ago) I tried the TX. It just wasn't stable enough for me. Don't know if program has changed since then? It did seem like a really cool program though.

The thread is on XDA here, and here is his website. You can download from either.

Re: DREAM PHONE - Mini guide :>))

thanks very much. I will bookmark his site. still don't know why I couldn't get to the thread. I only have 29 posts on xda but it says that I was not allowed because I had less than 10. I know I don't post that much but that's weird. must be a glitch over there.
