if you had bothered to actually read the thread, you'd see that an adhoc network wasn't sufficient. Keep your smarta$$ LMGTFY links that don't answer the topic at hand to yourself.

Glad someone else said it. Really didn't want to be a jerk, but it pisses me off when people can't read for content. Oh yeah, and LMGTFY links were funny the first time we saw them... now it's just retarded.

I really didn't want to come across as sounding like a jerk, but I knew of no more diplomatic way to say it. And yeah, people that can't comprehend clearly-written posts annoy me. It's understandable if a post isn't clearly written.. But I put some effort into fully explaining what I wanted, and for the poster to just breeze past that and come out with a smart-alec link that had no relevance..

[Sigh]

I didn't think you sounded like a jerk... A little touchy maybe... But not a jerk.

I guess you missed the entire point of the thread which is that I did NOT want an Ad-Hoc network, but an Infrastructure/AP one instead? Reading is hard sometimes, I guess?

FYI, I didn't click that LMGTFY link - I know exactly what that site is and refuse to click those juvenile links. Also, you're too late - The solution to my issue - Running Connectify - Has already been mentioned, and it's working great.

Haha, gotta love it when people don't get a clue. Glad to hear Connectify is working for you. I love that little program. The beta's seem a lot faster for me, but they aren't as stable. I think it'll be a nice release once they get some more of the bugs ironed out

Tips & Tricks: Making Your Own Mobile 3G/4G Hotspot - WinPlanet Windows Software Reviews

If your smart and know how to use command prompt.
It works. Better than connectify. IMO. (if your networkcard allows this method)

Using ICS (Internet Connection Sharing)

is the way you were thinking about doing it to begin with. Im sure it'll give you or someone and idea how to set it up "wirelessly"

You can thank me later. KTHXBYE!
