Moving from a Touch Pro 2 to an Android

I am contemplating a move from my Touch Pro 2 to an Android phone, as Sprint has terminated my contract for roaming data usage, and I will be switching to Verizon.

To back up my programs on my windows phone I use PPCbackup, is there a way to use this backup file to load the contacts to an Android phone?

I would prefer to do this without a Google account if possible, as I do not wish to sinc either of my phones with Google.
