cprog.exe crash when i use the dialer

When i try to use the dialer smart dialer, certain buttons cause a cropg.exe crash? Any ideas. I have sprint stock rom.

I tried disabling sense and still same problems

once again is this a TP or a TP2? update ur info accordingly. uve been on here a while so u should know how we roll here.

How we roll? 6 outa 10 peoples phone info. Is wrong. Just try to stay on topic and if op posted in tp2 forum then answer it as such. You didnt even post a answer.

well if he does have a tp2 ill assume that he's running the buggy stock 6.5 Sprint rom which was made from the buggy 21889 sys . he should try a 21916 rom like lead rom or vin's neodium.

This is on TP2, sprint stock rom.

Problem is resolved for now.

It appears to be a corrupt contact somewhere. When the problem happened, i would press "3" and the smartdialer start a list, i notcied there is a "blank" entry between two entries. Doesn't do this if I start with another digit.

I hard reset and then restore contact with PIm backup 2.8 and it started happening again.

I hard reset again and now used HTC data backup and everything is now fine.

Very strange indeed.

I will eventually use a new rom, but i just got the phone and wanted to see just how "bad" stock rom is first, so i will have something to compare with.

Didnt change my profile cause I wasnt even sure if I am going to keep this TP2 yet or go android.

yea i had the stock rom when i first got my tp2 as well for the whole entire first month in fact. while it was quite bad i didnt have as much problems with it as others were, just an occasional SOD (i got more SODs when on mighty rom FF). it also does not have as much RAM (booting with only 68MB free what the hell?) try lead rom its like stock without the bugs and u get more ram. this is by far the lightest 6.5 rom ive used.
