Re: transfer contacts intact??
pim backup or sashimi... contacts are the PIM.vol file found on the root of your device... transfer that(dont copy/paste it though, use an app) and everything will transfer perfectly

Re: transfer contacts intact??
hey you rock pimbackup is free too !! as soon as my PC plays nice will get it copied over and try it out
would still love to figure out the BT thing so I can send contacts to otherwise without splitting them into pieces but at least this lets me restore my contacts BTW pim backup worked a treat and backed other stuff too. Nice program. my people tab tiles are out of order but hey thats minor big time it transferred my contacts without splitting them apart Last edited by nerys; 11-18-2010 at 09:23 AM. |

Re: transfer contacts intact??
good... i knew it would be fine...
from what ive read ONLY BT transfer of contacts splits them as you say.. someone within the past weeks time asked something similiar/identical to this in here... pretty sure we had to tell them the same thing... since the phones your transferring between are both winMO, they make an app like iPhone has where you can "shake to send" the contact to the other phone... [APP][1/21/10] Shake2Send - Bump-like app for Windows Mobile. [v1.0.1] - xda-developers maybe that does split like BT does... try it out.. let us know |

Re: transfer contacts intact??
yes both winmo infact they are both TP2's with the same exact OS (used the same "rom" from htc to flash them both)
it also does it when I send to any OTHER phone (non winmo etc..) its the TP2 doing it. on receive its fine the TP2 is actually sending separate contacts for some reason shake2send is discontinued and it does not solved the issue of how do I send contacts to a NON winmo phone pimbackup solves my immediate problem. |
