ok I tried all of the above mentioned procedures and none work, looks like I might have to call sprint

let me know if you guys have any other suggestions, thanks!

EDIT: nvm after installing cookie tab and restarting im back to 1x, this is ridiculous

so the hard reset didnt work?

not the wipe device.. i did by going ##786# and had to put my msl code in and reset the device

ok this must have been a sprint thing because it randomly just went back to 3g, so weird, thanks for the help guys!

glad it worked.. i think task29 should also include hard-reset
