Lost my deep black homescreen, how do I get it back?

I have a Sprint TP2 with the Sprint OEM WM6.5 update.

The phone jostled in my pocket today while on a motorcycle ride with the screen unlocked. When I pulled it out the homepage screen had changed to the same image as my lockscreen and start screen. I want to return it to the deep crystal-clear black background it had before. How do I do this without a hard reset?

I've tried the settings, but am not finding anything that is really changing anything.

Thanks!

After you get it back I suggest you get/use a screen locking app.

Re: Lost my deep black homescreen, how do I get it back?

When I try to set a home tab wallpaper, I have two options: weather or animated.

That deep uniform black is not shown in either folder for the wallpapers, but it was the stock black for this Sprint 6.5 OEM Rom.

When I do get it back I will definitely turn the locking feature on.

I have tried the directions listed, but the black wallpaper I was using is not there, so I can't select it. It was the OEM wallpaper for this.

Do I need to do a hard reset to find this?

Just look around here or xda for the background you had or a similar one. No need to do a hard reset just for that.

Re: Lost my deep black homescreen, how do I get it back?

if its the stock black one..

you goto start>settings>home and its the Theme.. pick a different one, close it out, let it set up... go right back and choose Black Theme again..

problem should be solved

move this to your windows folder and then go to your settings and select htc black from there...

Re: Lost my deep black homescreen, how do I get it back?

i know exactly what wallpaper he is talking about. he isnt talking about the dull black wallpaper that comes preloaded on the phone in my documents/my wallpapers. he is talking about the jet black background that is set as default when you boot sprint wm6.5 for the first time. it actually isnt a wallpaper at all since when you boot 6.5 for the first time there is no wallpaper selected. i had this same issue when i first upgraded to 6.5. i liked the jet black look and couldnt get back to it. the only way i could ever get the jet black back was to use resco registry then i found the entry in the registry for the sense wallpaper. i deleted the path to the wallpaper that was set at the time and soft reset. that always got me back to the jet black look but i cant remember exactly whick registry entry it is.

heres something you can try to get back to no wallpaper/jet black.
1) go to your home tab and press menu/set wallpaper.
2)select a wallpaper.
3) now delete or move this wallpaper to a different folder using file explorer
4) soft reset

i think this should get you back to the jet black background you are looking for... let me know if that works or if you need more help
