You'll be prompted to select a program, just scroll down and select SMS.
Hey Quick, thanks again for the help. Yes, after you laid it out there above, that is exactly what I am trying to do. I went into the CHT editor, went to "Applications", then "Messaging", but when I click to change it, I still don't see anything called solely "SMS". I have "HTC SMS", which is how it was setup to begin with, but nothing else with "SMS" in the title. So I changed it to "Messaging", which I now know is the WM messaging as you stated. Which I do like better for texting, but my complaint is having to hit "SMS/MMS" on the account selector every time I tap the CHT notification icon on the home screen to go to messages. And if I turn off the account selector screen, then it randomly goes into an email inbox instead of SMS/MMS all the time like I would hope it could do. Maybe it can't?

I guess that's my question, is everyone that uses WM messaging for SMS/MMS having to click on "SMS/MMS" every time they go to their "messages" notifciation icon?

Re: Questions about settings on energy rom

I have it set up the way you're looking to configure it. The mistake is actually on my part, for which I have to apologize... I told you to select "SMS" from the application slection screen, but that's actually a custom link I've set to automatically "install" during my backup/restore process. You may not have it (depending on ROM date).

You basically have to create a shortcut/link to what was mentioned earlier by NinjaDuck. If you make a shortcut pointing to the below, you will automatically be taken into the SMS/MMS screen:

\Windows\tmail.exe" -service "SMS"

You can also download mine and put it on your phone. I have it in "Windows\Start Menu\Internet" and it WILL show up when you try the change the default application for Messaging. It'll also be in your startmenu for easier multi-tasking That file is attached to this post (I had to zip it because the forum won't let me upload an LNK file)

Re: Questions about settings on energy rom

Quick you rocked my world. I downloaded the lnk file you included above, put it on my phone, and can now see how that would work to do exactly what I'd like to do.

My last question is, where the heck do I put it so that I can find it to use as a quick link? I put it in the main device folder, I also put it in the programs folder, but still can't seem to get to it via assigning it as a quick link. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place under "add quick link", if not under "programs", where should I be looking?

Thanks again for all your help,
Your fellow honda driver

Re: Questions about settings on energy rom

It's at the bottom of my previous post :P

Make sure to keep or back up these settings for your next rom if/when you flash it (and you know you will!). I also suggest you go into Sense settings and disable the SMS and Email tabs because you're not really using them.
